On behalf of Ruben hereby your invitation for the Colloquium of Ruben Jonker: “How does the affordance of artefacts influence human behaviour”, In this colloquium I will discuss how objects in public space influence our thoughts, experiences and behaviour. In doing this, I will make a connection between the Actor Network Theory of Latour, the Affordance Theory of Gibson and the Tourist Gaze of Urry. Findings from my research in Amsterdam and Utrecht will fuction as a starting point in this elaboration.
